Fruit Whit, pink or mauve berries are ripe from May to July and are edible

Propagation The seed should be sown fresh. Soak in cold water for 24hrs to kill grubs
Germination occurs after one month. Cuttings strike easily.

It attracts fruit eating birds and nectar feeders such as honeyeaters. Lilly Pillies may be eaten when ripe, but the taste may be too acidy. Ripe fruits contain large amounts of vitamin C, are best made into juice, jelly, or jam. Sift out seeds.
